Janelle Chandleris anillustrator based in New Haven County, CT. She earned a BA in Illustration with a minor in Photography in 2019 and a MFA in Illustration in 2022 both from Թͷ. Shealsoearned a diploma from the Society of Botanical Artists Distance Diploma Program,United Kingdom.
Inspired bythe beauty ofnatureandbotanicals,shetranslatesher subjectsonto paper, working primarily withcolored pencilsand watercolor.In her artist statement,shewrites, “In nature, we have the opportunity to experience any color imaginable, and there is never a shortage of shapes, textures, compositions, and even mathematical formulas to work from”.Janelle isa member of several artistorganizations, including American Woman Artists,American Botanical Society of Artists, Society of Botanical Artists UK, andthe Colored Pencil Society of America.Janelle regularly exhibits her work in New York and Connecticut. In2025, her work wasselected foran international juried exhibitionat Mall Galleries in London, England.
