Joyce is a visual artist working with video, digital photography and interactive installation. Her artwork examines how mass media and culture shapes notions of truth and understanding of the \u201cother.\u201d Her project about Internet censorship, FIREWALL,\u200b garnered backlash from Chinese state authorities in 2016\u200b \u200band\u200b was presented at Lincoln Center in NYC, the Oslo Freedom Forum in Norway\u200b, and Center for Community Cultural Development &#8211; Green Wave Art in Hong Kong. Joyce&#8217;s\u200b artwork has exhibited internationally and been written about in <em>The New York Times, The Washington Post,<\/em><em> \u200b<\/em> <em>\u200b<\/em><em>Huffington Post,<\/em><em> \u200b<\/em> <em>\u200b<\/em><em>Hyperallergic\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>ArtCritical<\/em>.
