WestConn Parents and Family Weekend Give Back

We are encouraging families attending Parents and Family Weekend to donate to Wally’s Cupboard, our on-campus food pantry, to help make sure students in need have access to free and healthy food options. By making a donation, your student will be entered in a raffle to win a ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Bookstore book voucher for up to $500* for the upcoming spring 2026 term. There are two ways to donate. Make a monetary donation through , or you can purchase items directly from the . Please send confirmation of your donation to parents@wcsu.edu.

*The book voucher is non-transferable and can only be used to purchase/rent required textbooks available through the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Bookstore. The book voucher will cover the cost of purchasing/renting required textbooks up to $500. Please note, book vouchers count as a financial resource to the books/supplies component of the cost of education budget and in some instances may affect or be affected by a student’s financial aid offer.

Restaurant Discounts: The following restaurants have partnered with WestConn for Parents and Family Weekend to provide a special discount on Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20. Simply inform staff as you’re seated that you are participating in WestConn’s Parents and Family Weekend to receive the discount.

5 – 8 p.m. – Berkshire Hall Lobby and Bill Williams Gymnasium, Midtown campus –Ìý *Minute to Win It Games – Cup Stack, Bottle Color Match, Water Bottle Flip; *Basketball Challenge – Lay-up, Free Throw, 3-Pointer, Half-Court Shot; Yard Games in the Gym; Letters to Students for Finals Week; Board Game Mix and Mingle with Snacks from Dining Services

11:30 a.m. – noon – Westside Campus Observatory,ÌýPlanetarium Show! Join us in the Westside Campus Observatory for a 30-minute, live tour of the September night sky. Check-in at 11:15 a.m. Show begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. *Must reserve a spot, max capacity is 40.ÌýTo reserve your spot, please submit the .

*DISCLAIMER: Anyone visiting the fitness room must be 18 years or older. This is a special circumstance because the facility is not open to the general public on a consistent basis. Guests attending the parents programs may use the facilities for the day.
