Julia Mazurak MSN, Department of Nursing

Julia Mazurak became a full-time assistant professor at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ in January 2021, after being an adjunct instructor for 3 years. She received her BSN from American University, MSN from the University of Virginia, Nursing Education and Faculty Role Certificate from Drexel University, and is currently enrolled at Teachers College/Columbia University pursuing a Ed.D in Nursing Education.

Professor Mazurak has a variety of pediatric nursing experiences including inpatient, outpatient, school and camp nursing, as well as teaching experiences. Here at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ she teaches pediatrics, pediatric lab (simulation), community nursing clinical, and has taught fundamentals and drugs and diagnostics.

Professor Mazurak is a member of Sigma Theta Tau as a member of the Kappa Alpha Chapter at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ and the Alpha Zeta Chapter at Columbia University. Currently she is the secretary for the Healthcare Simulation Network of CT. She has published in the area of online simulation in a peer reviewed journal. Her areas of interest include pediatrics, simulation, school health, nursing education, and informatics.
