John Hickok<\/strong> (Adjunct Professor)\u00a0<\/em>On Broadway, John originated the roles of Governor Slaton in\u00a0<\/span>Parade<\/i><\/span><\/span>, Zoser in Elton John\u2019s\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Aida<\/i>, and Professor Bhaer in\u00a0<\/i>Little Women<\/i><\/span>, and can be heard on all three cast albums. Also on\u00a0Broadway:\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Man & Boy\u00a0<\/span><\/i>opposite Frank Langella,\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Our Country\u2019s Good<\/span><\/i>, and Rupert Holmes\u2019\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Accomplice<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In December he’ll be playing Cowboy Eddie at the George Street Playhouse in the world premiere of the new musical\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Joy.<\/i>\u00a0Some favorite roles among many \u2013 John Adams \/<\/i>1776<\/i><\/span>, Mercutio \/ <\/i><\/span>Romeo & Juliet, <\/span><\/i>Pontius<\/i><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Pilate \/<\/i><\/span>Jesus Christ Superstar,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Andrew Aguecheek\u00a0\/\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Twelfth Night<\/span><\/i>, Beauregard opposite Michelle Lee \/ <\/i><\/span>Mame<\/span><\/i>, Polonius \/ <\/i><\/span>Hamlet,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Dillard Nations with James Whitmore \/\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Foxfire<\/span><\/i>, Lt.\u00a0Kaffee\u00a0\/\u00a0<\/i><\/span>A Few Good\u00a0Men<\/span><\/i>, Garry LeJuene \/ <\/i><\/span>Noises Off,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>and Lord Edgar \/ Jane in\u00a0<\/i><\/span>The Mystery of Irma Vep<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n He guest-starred on all the <\/i><\/span>Law & Orders, <\/i>also<\/i> Blacklist <\/i><\/span>and <\/i><\/span>Body of Proof.\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Most<\/i><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>importantly<\/i><\/span>, <\/span><\/i>he\u00a0plays the role of Agent Milton in <\/i><\/span>Red Dead Redemption 2.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n He directed the acclaimed world premiere of DMW Greer\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Burning Blue<\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on London\u2019s West End (2 Olivier nominations), as well productions in LA, San Francisco, and NYC.\u00a0\u00a0He\u2019s directed straight plays, musicals & classics all over the country, notably the off-B\u2019way\u00a0premiere of\u00a0<\/span>Eye of the Beholder<\/i>\u00a0starring Kim Hunter, and\u00a0<\/i>Bus Stop, <\/i><\/span>chosen as one of the\u00a0\u201c10 Best Plays of 1980\u201d by the Boston Phoenix. In addition to dramaturging &\u00a0directing numerous plays and musical readings,\u00a0he worked with Hal at the Hal Prince Musical Theatre Workshop as a director for several years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n As an educator, he taught Shakespeare and directed\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Hot L Baltimore<\/i>\u00a0at Bard College, taught Shakespeare and directing\u00a0at Queens college, where he also directed <\/i>Twelfth Night, <\/i><\/span>directed<\/i><\/span>\u00a0Rent<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Urinetown<\/span><\/i>, and\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Spring Awakening <\/span><\/i>at CCSU, and directed\u00a0<\/span>You\u00a0Can\u2019t\u00a0Take\u00a0it\u00a0With You<\/i><\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Anne of Green Gables<\/i><\/span><\/span>, <\/i><\/span>A Christmas Carol, <\/i>and<\/i> Company <\/i><\/span>at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ, where he been on faculty for the past six years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
