The Tenth Tri-State Weather Conference will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Science Building Room 125 on the Midtown Campus of 吃瓜头条, 181 White Street, Danbury, Connecticut. Continental breakfast will be served from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m. in the Science Building Atrium. Please arrive early for check-in and breakfast.
The conference is presented by the Meteorology Program at 吃瓜头条 and co-sponsored by the 吃瓜头条 Student Chapter of the AMS, the New York City/Long Island Chapter of the AMS, NOAA/National Weather Service/Upton, NY, NOAA/National Weather Service/Albany, NY, NOAA and the National Weather Service/Boston/Norton, MA. NOAA. The purpose of the conference is to enhance education, professional development, and communication among private and public sector meteorologists, researchers, educators, students, emergency management officials, and weather enthusiasts.
Submissions, in the form of posters, are being solicited on high-impact weather events that affect the Tri-State region of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Potential topics would include but are not limited to, nor鈥榚asters and winter weather, severe thunderstorms, tropical weather and hurricanes, climate change, and mesoscale meteorology. We are especially interested in posters about significant historical severe weather events from the region from the past twenty-five, fifty, seventy-five, and one hundred years or more. Deadline for poster registration is September 15, 2026.

The registration fee is $30听and will听include a continental breakfast and a pizza/salad bar lunch, along with conference materials. Registration Deadline – October 5, 2026.

Conference Hotel
September 9th, 2026 is the Cut-Off Date as any guest rooms not reserved under the room block are returned to the Best Western’s hotel general inventory to be sold at full price. The guests will no longer have access to the room block or the discounted guest room rate. If we have rooms available they are welcome to reserve but have them mention that they are indeed attending with this specific group so notes are made on their reservation and the hotel knows to include them in room assignments. The cost is $159 for one or two in a room and $169 for three or four in a room.听
