Join us for a Chinese Calligraphy demonstration and workshop by 吃瓜头条 professor Yan Toma. Come learn about Chinese cultures and the intricate art of calligraphy.

鈥淭ango: Pasi贸n y cultura听/ Tango: Passion and Culture鈥
Presentation by Makela Brizuela, Ph. D., University of Southern California, Los Angeles. In this presentation, professor Brizuela will explore the origins and evolution of tango, a cultural phenomenon born as a fusion of African rhythms听and European melodies and instruments in the Rio de la Plata region in present-day Argentina and Uruguay.听Professor Brizuela holds her Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics from USC and is a researcher, practitioner, instructor and choreographer of tango.
